Founded in 2011 by Kaiulani Kimbrell, Stewpot films is a fully functioning, state of the art, documentary based production company designed to nourish, encourage and enlighten.
Stewpot is a team of people who love to Love and inquire into the truth of things and then communicate those discoveries via film.
Kaiulani Kimbrell: Founder & Director of Stewpot films
Kaiulani is a director, writer and producer of film and media.
She has directed the short documentary film “Grass Is Green… And We Like It That Way” (2010), covering the first genetically engineered foods case to reach the steps of the Supreme Court.
Kaiulani also co-directed the documentary film, “Visions” which was selected for the Ojai Film Festival (2010).
She has worked at New Line Cinema and Warner Bros in the music department under the direction of Paul Broucek (Pres.) and Erin Scully (Sen. VP), where she assisted on projects such as: Sex and The City, My Sister’s Keeper, Seventeen Again and The Women. She has also assisted Catherine Hardwicke (Director of Twilight, Lords of Dogtown).
Having started off early on in life as an actress and singer songwriter, Kaiulani brings years of training and performance to her films. She loves to work with actors.
Kaiulani has attended George Mason University, New York University: Tisch School of The Arts and most recently Brooks Institute in California with a focus in Directing and Documentary Film Making.
